Job summary

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services firm, is seeking a Cost Controller in the United States to manage project budgets, commitments and forecasts across medium-sized projects. You will use SAP data and PMIS tools to generate cost reports and support decision making.

The role requires 3–5 years in cost management within construction, with strong communication and procurement knowledge. On-site work with potential client-driven adjustments is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in cost management in the construction industry.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer and maintain cost control systems to track budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts for projects of medium complexity and value.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing cost estimates and providing cost information to support decisions.
• Develop and maintain WBS; upload financial data from SAP and update forecasts.
• Review invoices/submissions to ensure consistency with forecasts and budgets.
• Produce monthly cost report packages for multiple projects and manage cash flow.
• Extract data from sources, transform for operations, reconcile data for audit trails and support SOX controls.
