Job summary

The Building People is seeking an experienced Cost Control/Construction Accountant for on-site support on federal and commercial projects in the Washington, DC area. You will oversee cost management, budgeting, and financial analysis across a variety of small to large-scale construction efforts, ensuring alignment with mission needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring funds, generating reports, and supporting project administration; a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or construction

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial/government facility construction project management.
• Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost tracking.
• Experience with cost controls and project cost estimates.
• Background suitability/background check required; ability to pass a clearance.

• Manage a portfolio of construction projects and address challenges.
• Perform construction cost management, track funds, and budgeting.
• Conduct financial analysis, generate reports, and support program management.
