Job summary

The Building People is seeking an experienced Cost Control/Construction Accountant to support federal and commercial construction projects. The role focuses on cost management, budgeting, financial analysis, and economic evaluation across a portfolio of facilities programs.

Responsibilities include tracking funds, producing reports, and managing project costs within a data-driven environment. A background check and clearance may be required, with telework arrangements subject to client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial/government facility construction project management.
• Experience with cost controls and financial cost tracking.
• Experience with database software and report production.
• Experience developing and evaluating construction project cost estimates and tracking funds.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of projects and address challenges related to cost control and budgeting.
• Perform financial analysis, economic analysis, and report production for projects.
• Oversee project administration, program management, and database management.
