Job summary

Baker Concrete Construction, Inc is seeking a Project Cost Control Specialist in Idaho Falls, ID. The role focuses on gathering and analyzing cost information to produce reports that drive profitability on each project, with collaboration across project teams.

Up to 25% travel is expected, and safety is emphasized throughout daily operations. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two years of construction experience, plus proficiency in cost software and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and 2 years' related construction experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, construction experience, and/or training
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business related periodicals, journals, technical procedures, and government regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures
• Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to work with computers and programs (Timberline, Primavera, BIM, Filenet, Bindr) and Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes project information to produce reports that track time, quantity and costs on a specific project
• Reviews information with the project team to improve profitability
• Proposes adjustments to daily cost targets and goals to the project team
• Supports project team with recommendations on cost savings through procurements and scheduling
• Generates weekly cost reports and drafts the monthly financial report
• Oversees inventory management and supplier billing where applicable
• Maintains all logs including concrete and rebar logs
• Adheres to safety guidelines and promotes an Incident and Injury Free environment
