Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a Project Controls Engineer III to gather and analyze project data, producing reports that track time, quantity, and costs for a specific project. You will review this information with the project team to improve profitability on the job.

You will work across disciplines to generate weekly cost reports, assist in budgeting, change orders, and financial reporting while maintaining logs and ensuring safety guidelines are followed on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 2 years’ construction experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business, technical, and regulatory material.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers and clients.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, and scope of work.

Responsibilities

• Gathers cost information including schedule, time, quantities, and daily logs.
• Analyzes cost data and recommends adjustments to targets and goals.
• Supports cost savings through procurement, scheduling, and resource management.
• Generates weekly cost reports and monthly financial reports.
• Oversees subcontract changes and billing as needed for approvals.
• Maintains logs (concrete, rebar, etc.) and supports safety initiatives.
