Job summary

ARCO Companies is seeking a Cost Control Manager to oversee cost management and financial controls for complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, Finance, and clients to establish budgets, monitor performance, forecast final costs, identify risks, and support sound project decisions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction cost control with Procore experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction cost control, project controls, or related function.
• Experience with Procore required.
• Experience with general contracting, design-build, EPC, infrastructure, industrial, data center, or other complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of budgets, forecasting, subcontractor costs, change management, and financial reporting.
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, specs, schedules, and cost information.
• Advanced Excel and experience with construction ERP or cost-control systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost control processes for budgets, cost codes, WBS, and cost-control procedures.
• Track commitments, actuals, accruals, invoices, and change orders; monitor expenditures.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, cash flow projections, and estimates at completion.
• Identify cost risks early and guide leadership with cost-to-complete analyses.
• Review project financial data for accuracy and proper period accounting.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure changes are reflected in budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare dashboards and executive-level reports for stakeholders.
