Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager in Los Angeles to lead cost planning, forecasting, and control across complex projects. You will work with the project, commercial, and procurement teams to identify risks and improve cost efficiency.

Strong Excel and budgeting skills are essential, with experience in Primavera P6, Procore, and CMiC preferred. The role emphasizes cost reporting, schedule alignment, and close collaboration with senior leadership to ensure projects meet budgets and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of construction management experience.
• Minimum 2 years in estimating or cost controls.
• Proven experience managing costs for large-scale projects.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, and forecasting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and control project costs to stay within budgets.
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and earned value analyses.
• Review subcontractor payments and progress claims.
• Coordinate with planning/scheduling to align costs with schedules.
• Track commitments, expenditures, and variations/change orders.
• Support contract administration including claims analysis and change management.
• Participate in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Provide cost advice to project management and senior leadership.
• Assist in developing budgets for conceptual and schematic changes.
