Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a dedicated Construction Cost Accountant to join our on-site regional office team. The role emphasizes assembling, analyzing, and reporting on payroll, subcontract, materials, and overhead data for large construction projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction accounting, familiarity with CMIC and the MS Office suite, and a strong eye for detail to support forecasts, P&L statements, and monthly close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Experience in a heavy/civil construction environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with CMIC & Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Applies accounting principles to compile, depict, and process information.
• Prepares and enters accounting journal entries and assists in monthly closing of the general ledger.
• Interprets accounting documents and maintains data accuracy.
• Assists in reconciliations and compliance monitoring.
• Supports project managers with information requests and ad-hoc analyses.
