Construction Coordinator - (Active Duty Military Only) - DOD SkillBridge Program

Job Description:

Works closely with the Construction Project Manager, Construction Manager, Monitor Manager, and other field services staff during the execution of a large electrical utility project in Texas. Responsible for supporting all construction administrative aspects of the project, including contract management, subcontractor compliance, scheduling, document management, project onboarding training, inventory management, and GPS tracking management. This individual must display professionalism, organization, and cooperation with customers and co-workers. This position is based in a field office and may require travel within Texas.

Required Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent industry-related experience) in engineering, engineering management, construction management, or project management from an accredited university.
  • Three or more years of industry-related experience in engineering, construction, or electric power and communications industry.
  • Experience in project scheduling, reporting, and administration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and processes, understanding of project lifecycles.
  • Proficiency with computers and scheduling techniques.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of construction administration scope of work.
  • Facilitate project team’s understanding of contract terms and administrative processes.
  • Assist in preparing budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
  • Respond to project issues and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate efforts.
  • Organize meetings, track action items, and support document control.
  • Manage inventory of equipment and vehicles.
  • Assist onboarding of new personnel.
  • Process construction documents such as pay estimates, invoices, and change requests.
  • Prepare construction status reports and support GPS tracking implementation.
