Job summary

CSA Group is seeking a senior Construction Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in New Jersey. You will oversee pre-construction through closeout, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate contractors, regulators, and stakeholders, and ensure quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license in New Jersey, has 5+ years of infrastructure project experience, and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with proficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years construction project management experience.
  • P.E. License in the State of New Jersey.
  • Owner's Representative/Resident Engineer/Construction Manager on infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, contracts, and construction activities.
  • Experience with water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee water and wastewater infrastructure projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with contract requirements, project specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, vendors, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits and lead progress and coordination meetings.
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, daily reports, and record drawings.
  • Review pay applications, invoices, and change order requests.
  • Track project costs and assist with project budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
  • Prepare project status reports and maintain effective client relationships.
  • Identify project risks and assist in resolving construction-related issues.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in the State of New Jersey.
  • Experience serving as an Owner's Representative, Resident Engineer, or Construction Manager on infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, contracts, and construction activities.
  • Experience with water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pumping stations, and collection/distribution systems.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Curiosity and interest in continuous learning in AI and comfort experimenting and iterating quickly; uses data to validate ideas and measure impact.
  • Commitment to ethical and responsible AI adoption, including privacy-by-design and safe use of tools.
