Job description

As a Construction Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing construction projects involving the maintenance or building of our Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) in residential areas. Your role will ensure the quality of work meets technical standards and company policies, playing an essential part in keeping our customers connected to our growing network.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Maintenance Technician, Field Technician, or similar work experience of at least one year
• Education: High school diploma, valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Technical Skills: Ability to use hand tools, read general system layouts and blueprints, operate test equipment (signal level meters, ohm meters, etc.)
• Abilities:
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Use of hand tools: electric drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers
  • Walking over various terrains in all weather conditions while carrying tools and equipment
  • Safe use of weight-bearing equipment (gaffs, safety harnesses, ladders)
  • Measuring distances accurately with tapes or other devices
  • Climbing and operating extension ladders (~32 ft, 90 lbs)
  • Climbing poles using gaffs, hooks, and belts
  • Differentiating wire sizes and colors
  • Making cable connections in tight spaces by bending, reaching, twisting
  • Reading general system layouts from blueprints
  • Operating test equipment and computers related to the role
  • Standing 50-70% of the time during work
  • Handling small components and wires
  • Using handheld communication devices and apps
  • Dugging in various soil types
  • Driving company vehicles responsibly
  • Operating machinery for underground and overhead cable installation
  • Prioritizing and organizing tasks effectively
  • Working independently
  • Using personal computers, mobile devices, and software applications
  • Performing work at heights (poles, roofs)
• Skills: Knowledge of National Electric Code, National Electrical Safety Code, company products, basic electronics
• Schedule: Flexibility to work all hours and shifts as needed

• Construction work experience of at least one year
