Job summary

Hargrove seeks a Construction Coordinator to oversee coordination of small to moderate construction assignments under general supervision. This role requires close collaboration with contractors to plan daily field tasks and ensure safety and efficiency on site.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of industrial coordination experience, a strong safety mindset, and excellent communication to manage multiple stakeholders across projects in varied environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor/Master preferred in Construction Science or related field.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot or cold climates and wear PPE as needed.

What You'll Be Doing

Job Summary: Generally responsible for performing construction coordination for small to moderate construction assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Knowledge and application of company standards.
• Extensive knowledge of construction safety requirements, with a commitment to a zero accidents environment. Ability to ensure contractor's activities are planned and executed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Working closely with the construction contractor to plan and coordinate daily field and construction tasks and logistical activities.
• Serve as the "first line" coordinator for all contractor activities.
• Monitoring contractor performance against contract milestones and completion dates as well as performance as it relates to the other activities on-site to identify conflicts or potential delays.
• Developing work-around plans to mitigate conflicts or delays in concert with other construction coordinators.

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.

Licensing: No licensing is required for this position.

Experience: This position requires a minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.

• Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hat.
