Job summary

Legence is seeking a senior Controller to lead Yearout’s core accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. You will own month-end close, cost accounting for construction projects, and internal controls while partnering with executive leadership on planning and policy execution.

The role requires 7+ years of accounting experience, construction industry background, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 7+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Construction industry experience preferred; CPA/CCIFP ideal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Oversee AR, AP, job costing, GL, contracts management.
• Manage WIP, revenue recognition, and forecast variances.
• Partner with Payroll/HR to ensure financial accuracy and processes.
• Develop KPI dashboards and analyze cash flow and margins.
• Support audits and ERP system improvements.
