Job summary

Yearout Mechanical, a Legence Company, is seeking a Controller to lead core accounting and cost management for projects across NM and TX. You will drive GAAP compliance, month‑end closes, and internal controls while partnering with executives on budgeting and forecast accuracy.

The role requires strong leadership, construction industry experience, and expertise in Sage 300 CRE / OneStream to support growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting experience; construction industry preferred.
• Strong financial analysis, critical thinking and problem‑solving.
• Experience leading teams and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with Excel; Sage 300 CRE and OneStream desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead core accounting operations and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Oversee month‑end close, cost accounting, and reporting.
• Manage cash flow, audits, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with project managers on job costing and forecasting.
• Supervise AR/AP, general ledger and ERP system integration.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
