Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Construction Controller-CPA to join our Fort Lauderdale team. You will oversee all major financial decisions, budgeting, forecasting, and department needs while ensuring the company remains financially healthy.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of construction accounting experience, CPA certification, and strong analytical and communication skills to partner with owners, project managers, and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous, demonstrated experience handling company-wide finances is required.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving and organizational abilities are essential.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with owners, project managers, and department heads are needed.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with every department to create financial goals, budgets, and plans that align with the overall company budgets and finances
• Create reports based on the financial health of the company, and present these reports to stakeholders and other management
• Forecast sales and make financial projections
• Oversee financial compliance of the company as a whole
• Oversee and manage all accounting functions related to our residential and commercial construction projects
• Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and job costing
• Ensure timely and accurate billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
• Monitor project costs and budgets to ensure financial objectives are met
• Coordinate with project managers to review project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific requirements
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Assist in the preparation of financial audits and coordinate with external auditors
• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making
