Job summary

Fisher Industries seeks an Assistant General Counsel to provide timely guidance on contracts, regulatory and compliance matters across our national heavy civil construction business. You will draft and review agreements, manage legal documentation, conduct research, and support governance and investigations while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with internal teams.

Required JD, bar admission in North Dakota or Arizona, 2–3 years of related experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active license.
• 2–3 years of directly related legal experience, preferably in corporate, contract or compliance law.
• Admission to, or ability to be admitted to, the state bar of North Dakota and/or Arizona.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with legal research tools and contract management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, compliance requirements and general legal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Track legal deadlines, facilitate interdepartmental communication, and support ongoing legal projects.
• Prepare routine legal correspondence, filings, and internal documentation.
• Maintain legal databases, case files, and contract repositories with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist with compliance reviews, regulatory filings, and internal investigations.
• Manage disputes, claims, and litigation including coordination with outside counsel.
• Support corporate governance documents and maintain corporate formalities.
• Identify, assess, and report legal risks to aid risk management.
