Job summary

McGrath & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to lead civil and concrete projects in the St. Louis area. You will manage day-to-day field operations, coordinate self-perform crews, and drive production on-site with a focus on quality and safety.

You’ll read plans, schedule work, supervise crews and subcontractors, document progress, and maintain strong relationships with clients. This is a union-friendly, safety-sensitive role with steady, long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading civil and concrete construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of concrete foundations, flatwork, deep foundations.
• Ability to manage crews, schedules, and jobsite logistics.
• Strong leadership and communication with field teams, PMs, and clients.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with scheduling software is a plus.

At McGrath, our Superintendents lead from the field. You’ll be responsible for driving production, managing crews, and delivering high-quality work across civil and concrete projects.

We self-perform a significant amount of our concrete work—including foundations, site utilities, and deep foundations—and we’re looking for someone who can lead that effort on-site.

What you’ll actually be doing:

• Leading day-to-day field operations on civil and concrete projects
