Job summary

Hydrostor seeks a Construction Compliance Manager to lead regulatory, environmental and statutory compliance across construction, commissioning and project close-out in Kern County, California. You will oversee compliance systems, track permits, engage with government agencies and deliver timely regulatory submissions.

You will work with the Project Execution team and EPC contractors to integrate compliance into planning, monitor risk, and drive corrective actions to ensure a smooth handover to

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Experience managing compliance on major construction, mining, infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
• Strong understanding of regulatory approvals, environmental compliance and statutory obligations.
• Experience working within EPC or major project environments.
• Strong report writing skills and experience dealing with government regulators.
• Experience on large owner/operator renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of commissioning and operational compliance requirements.
• Experience with compliance management and document control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project Compliance Matrix, identifying all approval conditions, permits and licence requirements and tracking to completion.
• Monitor regulatory approvals and statutory obligations throughout construction and commissioning.
• Identify compliance risks with the project team and implement practical solutions.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions and responses to regulator requests and maintain records.
• Coordinate monthly and statutory compliance reports and manage compliance systems.
• Work with EPC Contractor and project teams to ensure understanding and delivery of compliance obligations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits, address corrective actions, and support regulatory handover.
