Job summary

Landry/French Construction seeks a Co-Op Intern to assist Project Engineers, Managers, and Superintendents on diverse construction projects. You will help implement site procedures, maintain document control, and support safety programs while coordinating with subcontractors and field staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and hands-on learning in a fast-paced construction environment on-site. Ideal for students pursuing engineering, construction, or architecture.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a formal construction, engineering, or architectural training/college program or equivalent building construction experience.
• Previous summer internship/co-op experience in construction is encouraged.
• A basic understanding of scheduling programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with general contract and subcontract documents, drawings, and specs is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Engineers, Project Managers and Superintendents on assigned projects.
• Assist with site procedures, notifications, signage, supplies, and deliveries.
• Help implement and monitor site safety programs and subcontractor compliance.
• Maintain document control for RFIs, submittals, contracts, ASIs, and close-out docs.
• Review drawings and specs for coordination; assist in schedule development and layout work.
• Attend trade meetings, prepare agendas/minutes, and assist with punch list follow-up.
