Qualifications

• No restrictions in securing an Ohio Department of Education vocational teacher license or permit.
• Excellent construction craft skills and knowledge of safety practices.
• Strong commitment to improving opportunities for urban students and building a mission-driven organization.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Uses approved curricula and teaches workplace safety to support OSHA‑10 Basic Safety certification.
• Develops pacing guides aligned with NCCER curricula to ensure skill learning and credential achievement.
• Creates a supportive learning environment that engages participants through varied instructional methods.
• Coordinates with academic staff to accommodate learning needs and ensure testing accommodations.
• Mentors and guides students in workforce skills, leadership, and professional growth.
• Maintains detailed tracking and completes credentialing steps for students’ certification.
• Participates in relevant meetings and committees as needed.
