Job summary

Ferguson Construction Company seeks an experienced carpenter supervisor to lead carpentry crews on our projects. You will plan procedures from specifications, order tools and materials, and coordinate subcontractors to keep work on schedule.

The role emphasizes solving on-site problems, maintaining workmanship quality, and directing installations of doors, frames, and hardware while supervising maintenance and special carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan construction procedures based on start and completion times and staffing requirements.
• Order procurement of tools and materials, ensuring delivery aligns with work schedules.
• Coordinate and direct personnel and subcontractors during planning and execution, interpreting specifications and mitigating delays.
• Resolve workforce issues in collaboration with supervisory personnel and subcontractors.
• Work with supervisory, engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to solve construction problems and improve methods for carpentry work.
• Inspect ongoing work to guarantee workmanship complies with specifications and crew schedules.
• Oversee major maintenance of existing installations within carpentry trade.
• Direct installation of doors, frames, and hardware.
• Ensure production quality for millwork, trim, metal studs, drywall, and acoustic ceilings.
• Inspect and conduct on‑site repairs or maintenance.
• Manage small special projects.
• Other duties may be assigned.
