Job summary

Ferguson Construction Company in Sidney, Ohio seeks a Carpentry Foreman to direct on-site crews and ensure work is completed on time and to specification. You will interpret plans, plan procedures, and organize staffing to meet project schedules.

You will coordinate with supervisors and subcontractors, order materials, inspect workmanship, and guide crews through carpentry tasks while addressing issues promptly and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan construction procedures based on start and completion times and staffing requirements.
• Order procurement of tools and materials, ensuring delivery aligns with work schedules.
• Coordinate and direct personnel and subcontractors during planning and execution, interpreting specifications and mitigating delays.
• Resolve workforce issues in collaboration with supervisory personnel and subcontractors.
• Work with supervisory, engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to solve construction problems and improve methods for carpentry work.
• Inspect ongoing work to guarantee workmanship complies with specifications and crew schedules.
• Oversee major maintenance of existing installations within carpentry trade.
• Direct installation of doors, frames, and hardware.
• Ensure production quality for millwork, trim, metal studs, drywall, and acoustic ceilings.
• Inspect and conduct on‑site repairs or maintenance.
• Manage small special projects.
