Job summary

AMIkids Pensacola is seeking a Career and Technical Instructor (Construction) to train youth in construction trades and related technical skills, while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. You will design hands‑on lessons, assess student progress and guide career planning in a structured educational setting.

The role requires at least two years of relevant experience, with preference for candidates who have worked with youth and can obtain necessary credentials.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years relevant experience.
• Prior experience working with youth a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain industry specific credentials.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and oversee youth training in identified career and technical development.
• Assess and evaluate academic needs of youth; provide professional instruction and teaching to a diverse population as appropriate.
• Advise youth on career options including guidance and suggestions regarding future coursework, possible specializations and other career-related topics.
• Provide instruction related to identified career and technical development according to lesson plans, IEPs and AMIkids Blended Learning Model.
• Design hands‑on lesson plans that allow for youth to apply proper use of tools, equipment, technology and techniques.
• Create and administer exams to evaluate the effectiveness of lesson plans and youth progress.
• Maintain timely accurate and complete youth records (includes lessons and grades).
• Attend and maintain CPR and First Aid certification; participate in crisis intervention training as defined by state requirements.
