Job summary

Lehman Daman Construction Services, Inc. in Central Ohio seeks a Business Development Representative to grow the project pipeline through relationship-building with owners, developers, and facility leaders.

You will identify opportunities, qualify prospects, and coordinate with marketing and operations to transition pursuits. Key duties include maintaining CRM records, conducting discovery calls, and representing the company at client meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, construction, real estate, facilities, architecture, engineering, or related industry.
• Established network of relevant industry contacts that can generate qualified leads.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, identify client needs, and develop new business opportunities.
• Strong communication, active listening, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Local market knowledge and experience in commercial construction, construction management, facility services, or business-to-business sales is preferred.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, accountable, and able to manage multiple relationships and opportunities.
• Strong business judgment, curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, preconstruction, operations, service, and leadership teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• A college degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, developers, facility leaders, architects, engineers, and other industry contacts.
• Generate qualified construction, renovation, and service opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, market research, and client meetings.
• Conduct initial discovery and qualification conversations to understand client needs, budgets, schedules, decision-makers, and potential fit with Lehman Daman.
• Maintain accurate opportunity, contact, and activity information in CRM.
• Coordinate with the Director of Business Development to develop relationship plans and advance qualified opportunities.
• Support client meetings, presentations, site visits, networking events, and follow-up activities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Preconstruction, Operations, and Service teams to transition qualified opportunities into active pursuits.
• Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, market trends, relationship progress, and emerging opportunities.
• Represent Lehman Daman in accordance with its values of safety, ownership, people, teamwork, culture, and honesty.
