Job summary

Dean Dorton is seeking an Assurance Supervisor of Construction Services in Cincinnati, OH. The role focuses on overseeing assurance engagements for construction clients, mentoring staff, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.

You will interact with clients and internal teams to manage projects and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, 3–5 years in assurance with construction clients, and a CPA license or progress toward it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Three to five years in assurance or accounting with construction industry clients preferred.
• CPA license or the ability to obtain CPA in a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead assurance engagements for construction clients, meeting timelines and budgets.
• Mentor and develop assurance staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Manage projects, prioritize tasks, and monitor reporting cycles and bonding deadlines.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, communicating status and addressing questions.
• Prepare and review workpapers and financial statements, ensuring accuracy.
• Collaborate with engagement teams and management to resolve technical issues.
• Stay current on accounting standards and construction industry regulations.
