Job summary

The Superior Group in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (ISG) to support the Integrated Systems team. This role focuses on estimation, scheduling, bidding, and contract administration at our Columbus HQ.

You will assist with takeoffs, BOMs, quotes, RFIs, and change orders while coordinating with vendors and project teams. A related degree or certificate is required, with OSHA certification as a bonus.

Qualifications

• Required: bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Bonus: Construction Management certificate or equivalent experience.
• Bonus: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with estimating by completing takeoffs, BOMs, quotes, bids and proposals.
• Create and manage RFIs and integrate them into project documents.
• Support project documentation including estimates, drawings, specs and contracts.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers through the submittal process.
• Track and manage change orders and project documentation.
• Monitor schedule and provide updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leads.
• Liaise with the Foreman on material/equipment delivery to site.
• Lead project close-out including warranties, waivers, and turnover materials.
• Develop understanding of project finances with Operations and Finance teams.

Position: Assistant Project Manager (ISG)
Reports to: VP of Integrated Systems Group
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Pay Range:$65,000 - $110,000

Superior is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help support our Integrated Systems team. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make estimation and operations more efficient and will play a key role in our management, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Integrated Systems estimating team by completing takeoffs, developing Bill of Materials (BOMs), requesting quotes, and preparing bids and proposals
• Manage Request for Information (RFIs) creation, submission, and integration into project documents
• Support project documentation, including estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers throughout the project submittal process
• Support the creation, submission, and management of change ordersTrack project progress by maintaining contract documents and capturing jobsite photos
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leaders
• Work closely with the Foreman on the delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builts, and turnover materials (attic stock)
• Begin developing an understanding of project finances by working closely with Project Operations and Finance leaders

Your Expertise

• Required: You have earned your bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Construction Management certificate; or have equivalent field or project management experience
• Bonus Points: You have prior experience with low-voltage, structured cabling, audiovisual, security, or other integrated systems.
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
