Job summary

Superior is seeking an Assistant Project Manager located in Indianapolis, IN to support our electrical construction projects. This role focuses on improving on-site operations, managing RFIs, and coordinating project submittals.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of related experience or a degree in a relevant field. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, vacation time, and a 401K plan.

  • Support with the creation and management of change orders.
  • Monitor the project schedule and provide updates.
  • Lead project close-out, including documentation and warranties.

Job description

Position: Assistant Project Manager

Reports to: Project Manager

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Pay Range: $65,000 - $110,000

We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.

Superior is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make operations on-site more efficient and will play a key role in our contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based on a jobsite in Conesville, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the creation and submission of RFI’s, and ensure that all RFI’s are integrated into the project documents
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
  • Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders
  • Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite
  • Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leaders
  • Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
  • Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock
  • Begin to develop an understanding of project finances, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leader

Your Expertise
  • Required: At least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including relevant internship experience), or a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field — or a certificate from a Construction Management program
  • Bonus Points: Prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a project management capacity
  • Bonus Points: Holds an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
