Job summary

Superior in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support its Integrated Systems team. The role focuses on estimating, scheduling, bidding and contract administration, reporting to the VP of ISG. The position is based at our headquarters in Columbus.

You will work with the estimating team, manage RFIs, submittals, and project documents, and assist with change orders. A related degree or certification is required with bonus experience in low-voltage or OSHA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or related degree in CM, engineering, or similar field.
• Construction management certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing projects in integrated systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support estimating with takeoffs, BOMs, quotes, bids and proposals.
• Create and track RFIs; integrate into project documents.
• Maintain estimates, drawings, specs and contract documents.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers through submittals.
• Assist with change orders and project closeout documentation.
• Monitor schedule updates and communicate with operations leaders.
• Collaborate with Foreman on material delivery to site.
• Develop preliminary understanding of project finances with leadership.

Position: Assistant Project Manager (ISG)
Reports to: VP of Integrated Systems Group
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Pay Range: $65,000 - $110,000
We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.
Superior is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help support our Integrated Systems team. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make estimation and operations more efficient and will play a key role in our management, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Integrated Systems estimating team by completing takeoffs, developing Bill of Materials (BOMs), requesting quotes, and preparing bids and proposals
• Manage Request for Information (RFIs) creation, submission, and integration into project documents
• Support project documentation, including estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers throughout the project submittal process
• Support the creation, submission, and management of change orders
• Track project progress by maintaining contract documents and capturing jobsite photos
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leaders
• Work closely with the Foreman on the delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builts, and turnover materials (attic stock)
• Begin developing an understanding of project finances by working closely with Project Operations and Finance leaders

Your Expertise

• Required: You have earned your bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Construction Management certificate; or have equivalent field or project management experience
• Bonus Points: You have prior experience with low-voltage, structured cabling, audiovisual, security, or other integrated systems.
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
