Job summary

The Superior Group in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join the Integrated Systems Group. The role focuses on supporting estimation, scheduling, bidding, and contract administration while coordinating with vendors and field teams.

You will assist with takeoffs, BOMs, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation, gaining exposure to project finances and close-out activities as you contribute to on-time, within-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction-related field or certificate.
• Experience with estimation, scheduling, bidding, and contract administration is preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Support estimating team with takeoffs, BOMs, quotes, bids and proposals.
• Manage RFIs creation, submission and integration into documents.
• Support project documentation including estimates, drawings, specs, contracts.
• Coordinate with vendors throughout submittal process.
• Track progress and maintain contract documents; monitor schedules and provide updates.
• Assist in project close-out, warranties, waivers and turnover materials.
• Learn project finances by working with operations and finance teams.

Position: Assistant Project Manager (ISG)
Reports to: VP of Integrated Systems Group
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Pay Range:$65,000 - $110,000

Superior is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help support our Integrated Systems team. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make estimation and operations more efficient and will play a key role in our management, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Integrated Systems estimating team by completing takeoffs, developing Bill of Materials (BOMs), requesting quotes, and preparing bids and proposals
• Manage Request for Information (RFIs) creation, submission, and integration into project documents
• Support project documentation, including estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers throughout the project submittal process
• Support the creation, submission, and management of change ordersTrack project progress by maintaining contract documents and capturing jobsite photos
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leaders
• Work closely with the Foreman on the delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builts, and turnover materials (attic stock)
• Begin developing an understanding of project finances by working closely with Project Operations and Finance leaders

Your Expertise

• Required: You have earned your bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Construction Management certificate; or have equivalent field or project management experience
• Bonus Points: You have prior experience with low-voltage, structured cabling, audiovisual, security, or other integrated systems.
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
