Job summary

Inventus Partners is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with construction experience to support the delivery of NYC projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with seasoned leaders.

This role emphasizes assisting with schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation, coordinating with field teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors, and contributing to project closeout and turnover with strict adherence to contract requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years with a General Contractor in a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar construction management role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; construction management software preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of construction projects.
• Support the preparation and tracking of project schedules, budgets, and reports.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Maintain project records and ensure documentation is current and organized.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination and procurement activities.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes as required.
• Track project progress and help identify potential issues before they impact schedule or budget.
• Coordinate with field teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Support project closeout activities and turnover documentation.
• Help ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract requirements and company standards.
