Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking an apprentice to learn core construction skills under supervision of a Journeyman at an on-site MasTec project in Texas.

The program covers safety, math, tool use, drawings, rigging, and communications, with progression into industrial, wind, and solar construction areas. You will attend formal and on-the-job training, keep a training log, and complete all tests and evaluations while forming professional relationships with colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0 to 4,000 On the job Training hours.
• Experience using basic power tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit enthusiasm to learn and develop skills.
• Attend formal training and complete on-the-job training.
• Keep log of training activities.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist Journeyman and other craft workers.
• Meet deadlines and work to schedules.
