Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Manager to lead the Project Analytics team for a Chicago-based client in power infrastructure. You will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards translating complex project controls data into executive insights, while mentoring a small team and ensuring data quality.

Collaborate with Construction, Project Controls, and Data Engineering. This hands-on role emphasizes standards, governance, and user adoption of analytics tools to drive cost, schedule, productivity, and risk

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cost management, project controls, or analytics for large capital projects.
• 2+ years of people management or leading others in a team.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI with data modeling, DAX, and M.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT, dataflows, and cloud data platforms (Azure/Snowflake).
• Strong Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing construction analytics team through coaching and career development.
• Own intake and delivery process: prioritize work, allocate resources, manage timelines.
• Support planning and evaluation of construction financial and performance reporting.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for cost, schedule, productivity, and risk.
• Implement QA/QC checks and reporting standards for portfolio reporting.
• Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders through dashboards and narratives.
• Maintain detailed reporting for project workstreams and provide roll-up reports.
• Document processes and promote data governance and knowledge sharing.
• Incorporate user feedback to improve report functionality and usability.
• Present dashboards, provide training or demos to promote adoption.
