Job summary

Procon is seeking a Construction Administrator to support a healthcare construction project in Philadelphia, PA. The role covers planning, design review, construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout, with responsibilities spanning field inspections, document review, and coordination with VA personnel and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction management or administration, strong QA/QC and scheduling skills, and proficiency in MS Office and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Sciences, or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant construction experience demonstrating the ability to perform the required duties
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management, administration, field inspection, owner's representation, or related role
  • Experience supporting healthcare, institutional, or complex facility construction projects
  • Experience performing field inspections, documenting activities, and identifying deficiencies
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and other contractor documentation
  • Knowledge of construction methods, codes, permitting, and contractor operations
  • Understanding QA/QC principles, scheduling, and project controls
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, construction management software, and PM tools
  • Previous VA or federal healthcare construction experience preferred
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support construction administration activities throughout project execution, including review of drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, changes, and other documents
  • Perform daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety, and contractor compliance with contract requirements
  • Identify and document deficiencies, non-conforming work, corrective actions, and overall progress
  • Assist with design and constructability reviews, issue tracking, change management, and change order evaluations
  • Monitor project schedules and identify delays, risks, and mitigation measures
  • Support project cost management, including budget tracking, cost estimates, and review of pay applications
  • Maintain accurate project records, logs, correspondence, reports, and schedule documentation
  • Participate in coordination meetings with VA personnel, contractors, architects, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Support QA/QC, testing, commissioning, and corrective action activities
  • Assist with owner-furnished equipment, turnover, and operational readiness activities

Procon is seeking a Construction Administrator to provide professional construction management and construction administration services in support of a healthcare construction project in Philadelphia, PA. This role will support projects throughout planning, design review, construction, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout. This role requires various skills and experience as listed below.

  • Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and other contractor documentation
  • Working knowledge of construction methods, building codes, permitting requirements, and contractor/subcontractor operations
  • Understanding of QA/QC principles, construction scheduling, project controls, and assessment of work-in-place
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, construction management software, and project management tools
  • Previous VA or federal healthcare construction experience preferred
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software preferred.

  • Support construction administration activities throughout project execution, including review of drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, proposed changes, and other construction documents
  • Perform daily site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and contractor compliance with contract requirements
  • Identify and document deficiencies, non-conforming work, corrective actions, and overall construction progress
  • Assist with design and constructability reviews, issue tracking, change management, and change order evaluations
  • Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays, risks, and mitigation measures
  • Support project cost management, including budget tracking, cost estimates, and review of contractor pay applications against completed work
  • Maintain accurate project records, activity logs, correspondence, reports, and schedule documentation
  • Participate in construction progress and coordination meetings with VA personnel, contractors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders
  • Support quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), testing, commissioning, and corrective action activities
  • Assist with owner-furnished equipment, project closeout, turnover, furniture moves, and operational readiness activities as required
