Job summary

East River Contracting in Watertown, SD is seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager to support our framing division by keeping projects organized, materials flowing, and paperwork on track behind the scenes. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoy communicating with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.

Qualifications

Experience in construction administration or project coordination preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with Procore or willingness to learn.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Detail-oriented with strong documentation follow-through.
Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Order materials as directed by the Project Manager.
Prepare and track submittals to keep projects compliant and on schedule.
Book hotel accommodations for traveling crews and personnel.
Track project expenses and flag budget variances to the Project Manager.
Support day-to-day project coordination and team communication.
Create sub and vendor commitments in Procore and collect required documentation.
Set up and maintain project tasks and schedules in Procore.
Review and approve team credit card fund requests.
