Job summary

Our client, an architectural glass and façade contractor, seeks an organized Assistant Project Manager to support multiple construction projects in a fast-paced NYC environment. The role involves coordinating schedules, materials, and documentation while interfacing with Estimating, Drafting, Shop, and Field teams to ensure on-time project delivery.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in construction in a similar support role, familiarity with glazing/facade trades, and proficiency in AutoCAD

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the construction industry in a similar support role.
• Experience with architectural glass, façade systems, curtain wall, storefront, or building envelope trades.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or drafting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with project management software and Bluebeam.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with scheduling, material coordination, fabrication tracking, and project close-out.
• Assist with project documentation, submittals, change orders, and status updates.
• Coordinate internally with Estimating, Drafting, Shop, and Field teams.
• Attend and document internal project meetings and track action items.
• Retrieve and organize project files and documentation.
• Perform additional project support tasks as assigned.
