Job summary

Atalnt Llc is seeking a Construction Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, WIP reporting, job costing, and project profitability. This hands-on leadership role partners with the Corporate Controller and project managers to drive strong internal controls and accurate revenue recognition.

The role requires 7+ years of accounting experience, including 4+ years in construction accounting, and expertise with ASC 606 and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 7+ years accounting experience, 4+ in construction accounting.
• Experience with general contractor or specialty contractor.
• Strong WIP reporting and job costing knowledge.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
• Month-end and year-end close experience.
• Leadership experience of an accounting team.
• Advanced Excel: pivot, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP.
• ERP systems and construction job costing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations and supervise staff.
• Manage monthly WIP reporting for operating companies.
• Review job costs, contract values, change orders, billings, and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Analyze project margins, underbillings, overbillings, and profitability.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, project receivables, and billing issues.
• Maintain internal accounting controls and improve reporting processes.
• Partner with the Corporate Controller, company presidents, and Project Managers.
• Support audits, financial reporting, and multi-entity accounting activities.
