Connor Painting, a growing commercial and industrial contractor, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function and partner with ownership. Youll enhance reporting, streamline processes, and drive scalable financial systems across the business.

Bring construction accounting and job-costing expertise, strategic thinking, and a collaborative leadership style. Youll work across departments to improve automation, reporting visibility, and financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction accounting and financial management.
• Experience with job costing and project-based financial tracking.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll reporting, and financial statements.
• Advanced understanding of accounting software integrations and automation.
• Ability to learn evolving software platforms and advocate for improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month/quarter/year-end closes.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial health.
• Oversee job costing, profitability analysis, and cost tracking.
• Coordinate with operations for alignment between field activity and financial reporting.
• Lead system optimization, reporting dashboards, and KPI tracking.
• Ensure compliance, controls, and audit readiness; support audits.
