Job summary

CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client near Downtown Cleveland, OH, in finding an Accounting Manager with construction industry experience. The successful candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and partner with an outside consultant and internal accounting team to support accurate financial reporting, accounting operations, and process improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
Minimum of 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in construction, project accounting, or related industry.
Solid knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with construction industry accounting practices, job costing, and WIP reporting.

Responsibilities

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in partnership with the outside consultant.
Conduct job cost analysis, tracking project budgets and cost variances.
Provide clear financial reporting to leadership to support decision-making.
Support annual budgeting with leadership and project managers.
Monitor budget performance and analyze forecasts for projects and cash flow.
Manage daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll support, GL activity, and reconciliations.
