Job summary

NextStep Recruiting partnered with a growing construction organization to identify an Accounting Manager in North Dallas. This 100% onsite role will serve as the financial owner for the division, overseeing project accounting, financial reporting, job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial analysis.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, probe into project performance, and collaborate with leadership to drive profitability and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Strong construction accounting expertise including WIP schedules and job costing.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project accounting, financial reporting, job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial analysis.
• Dig into project performance, investigate unusual cost/margin trends, and flag issues early.
• Partner with operational leadership to improve profitability and financial performance.
