Job summary

HRmango is partnering with our client to hire an experienced Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This hands-on leadership role requires a strong construction industry background and the ability to own day‑to‑day accounting operations while guiding a team.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will oversee monthly close, financial reporting, internal controls, and core accounting functions with a focus on job costing, WIP, contract accounting, and ASC 606 revenue recognition.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years leading accounting team members.
• Construction industry experience required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with WIP, job costing, and contract accounting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Support Corporate Controller with accurate financial statements.
• Lead monthly WIP and construction contract accounting processes.
• Coordinate state and local tax compliance.
• Support audits, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Provide financial analysis to leadership.
• Improve accounting processes and controls.
