Confidential Employer in Marietta, GA seeks an experienced Construction Accounting Manager. This hands-on role will lead AP/AR, WIP, payroll, job cost, and an internal transition from outsourced to in-house accounting processes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction accounting, strong QuickBooks Enterprise skills, and proven ability to manage month-end closes and audits. Growth-minded team with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting/finance.

Responsibilities

• Manage AP/AR including aging.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards monthly.
• Lead month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare internal financial statements and month-end packs.
• Maintain accurate job cost reporting and cost coding.
• Prepare WIP schedules and track under-/over-billing.
• Monitor budgets and flag margin risks.
• Prepare overhead summaries and allocation metrics.
• Coordinate with CPA, surety, and insurance audits.
• Maintain internal controls and approval workflows.
• Oversee payroll processing and compliance including certified payroll.
• Support ERP migration and in-house transition.
