Job summary

Thompson Thrift is hiring a Construction Accountant to manage financial processes for assigned construction projects, ensuring accurate subcontractor payments, billings, payables, and receivables.

You will collaborate with project teams and subcontractors, review financial activity, maintain documentation, and improve procedures to support the financial success of multifamily projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting/finance experience in construction or real estate.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, review, and process financial activity for assigned construction projects.
• Manage subcontractor pay applications and ensure compliance with policies.
• Prepare and submit monthly construction project billings with supporting documentation.
• Support payables and receivables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure timely processing.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financials.
• Contribute to financial reporting and cost management for projects.
