Job summary

Bel-Aire Mechanical is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and construction project accounting. The role offers exposure to construction accounting, job costing, and revenue recognition within a dynamic, on-site Phoenix office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries with documentation.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and project accounting.
• Assist with cash flow reporting, audits, and internal controls.
