D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Accountant-BLD to apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports for construction projects.

The role supports budgets, cost control and timely close processes in a dynamic homebuilding environment. The right candidate will review invoices, monitor variances, and prepare reconciliations to help drive accurate financial outcomes. This position may require travel and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university.
• Three to five years of related experience and/or training.
• Excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare House Profit Analyses and review gross profit margins for each sales contract.
• Review job costs for budget variances, cost code errors, and other posting errors on invoices and resolve with proper departments.
• Conduct monthly close procedures and ensure that deadlines are met.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Post bank deposits and create related cash receipt journals.
