Job summary

Alpine Construction Management is seeking an experienced Accountant for our Boise, Idaho office. The role supports accounts payable and accounts receivable, project billing, subcontractor pay apps, vendor payments, and financial documentation within our construction-focused team.

You will collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and vendors to ensure accurate cost tracking, compliance with contract terms, and timely month-end close.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial roles.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and controls.
• Attention to detail and accurate financial documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stay organized.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor, subcontractor, supplier, and employee expense invoices accurately and on time.
• Code invoices to the correct projects, cost codes, departments, and accounts.
• Match invoices with POs, contracts, and supporting docs; ensure approvals.
• Coordinate payments and respond to inquiries from vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit project invoices and monthly pay applications.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
• Track retainage and final payments; apply customer payments.
• Assist with pay applications, lien waivers, and change orders as needed.
• Reconcile vendor statements and reconcile accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close and financial reporting.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Work with project teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
