Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, construction cost accounting, accounting standards, and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable activities, including vendor accounts verification, payments, and discrepancy resolution.
• Code expenses to accounts and projects, support job costing, and enter project budgets.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, maintain financial records, and aid in reporting and audits.
• Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets, research discrepancies, and collaborate with teams and external parties to analyze information.
• Maintain vendor relationships, monitor subcontractor certificates of insurance, stay informed of accounting requirements, and provide admin backup as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable activities, including verifying vendor accounts, processing payments, and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Code expenses to the appropriate accounts and projects, support job costing, and enter project budgets.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, maintain complete financial records, and assist with daily accounting activities, financial reporting, and audits.
• Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets, research discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams and external parties to gather and analyze financial information.
• Maintain vendor and supplier relationships, track subcontractor certificates of insurance, stay informed of applicable accounting requirements, and provide administrative backup as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting-related role within a construction environment.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, construction cost accounting, accounting standards, and related financial procedures, along with strong account reconciliation experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and research skills, communication abilities, and time management, with the flexibility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
