The Construction Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of complex construction projects within a small accounting team. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate cost tracking, reporting, and team support for our diverse project portfolio. The ideal candidate will have previous construction accounting experience including job costing. They will also manage a variety of accounting duties supporting the entire organization and will play a hands-on role within the accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor project costs accurately
• Assist in weekly in-house payroll processing
• Support project team as required
• Manage job reporting for various construction projects
• Conduct financial analysis to support project and company decision-making
• Support internal and external financial reporting requirements
• Be a team player with ability to wear many hats

Required Qualifications

• Mid-level capability and experience in construction accounting environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting desired
• Experience in PR, JC, AR, AP, and General Ledger
• Certified Payroll Reporting and LCPTracker
• Prior Experience with Viewpoint by Vista ERP
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Crosstrain and share knowledge
• Collaborate across the organization
