Responsibilities

  • Operate control panel for the knife.
  • Keep carpet lined up and running squarely into press.
  • Maintain quality of cuts.
  • Send tiles to quality lab to ensure tile sizes are within specifications.
  • Call out color changes to alert inspectors and boxers that a new run is starting.
  • Complete production paperwork for the shift.
  • Assume leadership role during critical times or when Supervisor is away from the line.
  • Work with maintenance staff to change knife or resolve quality issues related to cutting line.
  • Maintain housekeeping and comply with safety rules.
