WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a hospital call center professional to answer and route a high volume of calls from the main line. The role includes paging physicians, rolling pagers, and making on-call schedule changes as needed. You will support medical faculty and staff in accordance with hospital policies.
The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of customer service or console experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
Answers a wide range of calls from the hospital’s main telephone line, interprets where the call needs to be directed, and transfers the call to the appropriate area. Performs multiple functions related to paging services including paging physicians, and rolling pagers. Make’s same-day changes to the On Call schedule as a backup to the department schedulers.
