Job summary

Heritage Auctions in Dallas, TX seeks a Trading Card Games Specialist to authenticate, evaluate, research, and prepare TCG property for auction, working directly with collectors and consignors. Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Trading Card Games Specialist for an auction house in Dallas, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for a deeply knowledgeable TCG professional to join a growing collectibles category and work directly with collectors, consignors, and exceptional trading card property! This is a full-time, direct-hire, 100% onsite position in Dallas, TX .

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Trading Card Games Specialist will be responsible for authenticating, evaluating, researching, and preparing TCG property for auction while developing strong relationships with collectors, consignors, bidders, and industry professionals. This position is ideal for someone with deep knowledge of Yu-Gi-Oh! and the broader Trading Card Games market who also enjoys the relationship-building and business-development side of the collectibles industry. The Specialist will help generate new consignments, evaluate potential auction property, support catalog and auction production, and contribute to the continued growth of the TCG category.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Authenticate and evaluate Trading Card Games and establish appropriate auction estimates.
• Research and accurately catalog cards and other TCG property for auction.
• Develop new consignments through company-generated leads, personal industry relationships, and independent outreach.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with collectors, consignors, bidders, dealers, and other TCG professionals.
• Respond to prospective and existing clients throughout the consignment and auction process.
• Market auctions and individual lots to relevant collectors and prospective bidders.
• Review catalog descriptions, images, client communications, press materials, and advertising copy for accuracy.
• Help expand the organization's TCG client and consignor database.
• Collaborate with fellow specialists and internal teams throughout the cataloging, marketing, and sales process.
• Attend trade shows, auction previews, client meetings, and auctions as needed.
• Travel as needed to meet with clients and evaluate potential consignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience as a commercial dealer, within an auction environment, or in a closely related Trading Card Games/collectibles field preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and other Trading Card Games ; candidates from other industry backgrounds will be considered if they bring significant TCG expertise and relationships.
• Strong understanding of authentication, condition, valuation, and the broader TCG marketplace.
• Existing relationships within the TCG collector, dealer, or consignor community highly valued.
• Candidates with an established book of business are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Strong client relationship and business-development skills with the ability to cultivate new consignment opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, outgoing, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Dallas, TX and travel as needed.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• This position offers an annual salary range of $70,000–$100,000 , depending on experience, industry relationships, and existing book of business.
